Junior DevOps & Cloud Engineer
About the Role
We are a growing NBFC startup operating in a regulated environment.
We are looking for a DevOps & Cloud Engineer who can manage and scale AWS infrastructure,
drive CI/CD and deployment automation, optimize AWS cloud costs,
establish and maintain security best practices,
and confidently represent infrastructure and security controls during audits and compliance reviews.
This is a hands-on ownership role with visibility across engineering, operations, and compliance.

Detailed Job Description
- AWS Cloud Infrastructure: Design, manage, and optimize workloads on Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Manage AWS services such as EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC, and CloudWatch
- Ensure high availability, backup, and disaster recovery readiness
- AWS Cost Optimization: Monitor and control AWS spending
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities, rightsizing strategies, Savings Plans, Reserved Instances, and idle resource cleanup
- Work with teams to design cost-efficient architectures
- CI/CD & Automation: Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines
- Automate builds, testing, deployments, and rollbacks
- Improve release reliability and deployment frequency
- Containerization & Deployment: Use Docker for packaging and deployment
- Maintain container workflows and deployment pipelines
- Kubernetes knowledge is a plus
- Cloud Security & Data Protection: Implement AWS security best practices
- Manage IAM, least privilege access, secrets management, encryption, and network security
- Support audit preparation, VAPT coordination, and security documentation
- Maintain logging and monitoring for infrastructure and security visibility
- Compliance & Audit Representation: Participate in security audits, compliance reviews, and data protection assessments
- Explain architecture, access management, backup strategy, and disaster recovery processes during audits
- Work with management on risk mitigation and remediation activities
- Office Infrastructure: Support office network security, VPN/firewall configuration, backup, and endpoint protection basics
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on AWS experience
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines
- Linux administration knowledge
- Docker and containerization experience
- Scripting skills in Bash, Python, or Shell
- Experience with AWS cost optimization strategies
- Understanding of Savings Plans, Reserved Instances, and cloud cost monitoring tools
- Knowledge of IAM, encryption, logging, monitoring, and cloud security best practices
- Ability to participate in audits and compliance discussions
- Strong communication and documentation skills

- Kubernetes experience
- Experience in NBFC / FinTech / regulated environments
- Disaster Recovery (DR) and High Availability (HA) architecture design
