Recruitment Lead / Talent Acquisition Lead
📍 M-F / On-Site | 💼 Full-Time, Permanent | 🏢 Human Resources / Talent Acquisition & Staffing
Position Overview
The Recruitment Lead plays a critical, strategic role in managing and driving the end-to-end talent acquisition cycle. This position is responsible for designing, executing, and refining sourcing strategies, managing stakeholder relationships, leading a team of recruiters, and ensuring high-quality, timely placements across various business verticals. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with deep expertise in sourcing, talent pipeline management, statutory recruitment compliance, and client engagement.
Key Responsibilities
  • Talent Acquisition & Sourcing Strategy
  • Develop and execute end-to-end recruitment strategies across IT, Non-IT, executive, and specialized business functions.
  • Utilize multi-channel sourcing techniques including job boards (Naukri, LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed), social recruiting, employee referrals, and direct headhunting.
  • Build and maintain strong, proactive candidate pipelines for current and future talent requirements.
  • Team Leadership & Performance Management
  • Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of recruitment specialists, recruiters, and sourcing associates.
  • Assign recruitment requisitions, monitor daily team productivity, and set target Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Conduct performance audits, review recruiter pipelines, and resolve bottlenecks in the recruitment workflow.
  • Stakeholder & Client Relationship Management
  • Serve as the primary liaison for hiring managers and external corporate clients to gather detailed job descriptions and requisitions.
  • Conduct structured intake meetings to align on candidate profiles, skill expectations, salary budgets, and timelines.
  • Deliver weekly status reports, offer conversion updates, and strategic insights on talent market trends.
  • Candidate Assessment & Offer Management
  • Conduct thorough screening, technical/functional pre-assessments, and behavioral interviews.
  • Manage salary benchmarking, negotiation, offer rollout, and post-offer candidate engagement to minimize drop-outs.
  • Oversee candidate background verification (BGV) and smooth handover to HR onboarding teams.
  • Process Standardization & Compliance
  • Ensure strict compliance with labor standards, employment regulations, equal opportunity practices, and internal statutory requirements.
  • Maintain high data integrity across Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and HR databases.
  • Analyze talent acquisition analytics (Time-to-Hire, Cost-per-Hire, Offer Acceptance Rate) to continually optimize processes.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Time-to-Fill Requisitions – 30 - 45 Days (Role Specific) – Monthly / Quarterly
  • Offer Acceptance Rate – ≥ 85% – Monthly
  • Candidate Quality / 90-Day Retention – ≥ 90% successful probation rate – Quarterly
  • Source Mix Diversity – ≥ 40% organic/referral/direct sourcing – Quarterly
  • Team Requisition SLA Adherence – ≥ 90% compliance with client SLAs – Monthly
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field. Master's / MBA in HR is a plus.
  • Experience: 5+ years of core recruitment/talent acquisition experience, with at least 2+ years leading or mentoring team members.
  • Technical Proficiencies: Proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), LinkedIn Recruiter, job portals, advanced MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Formulas), and recruitment analytics tools.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of full-lifecycle hiring, salary structuring, notice period management, and labor laws.
  • Soft Skills: Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, team leadership, crisis handling, and exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
